SOCIAL MEDIA INTERNSHIP: spring 2025

Role OVerview 

Founded in June 2024, The Moonshot Company is a strategic advisory firm—representing founders, brands, and creative talent in Hollywood, politics, arts and culture, social impact, and more. We serve as integrated strategic partners to our clients across their most pressing creative, PR, marketing, business development, and general  growth goals. . Inaugural clients have included the Kamala Harris for President campaign; Channing Tatum’s’ Free Association banner including Magic Mike; Rajiv Menon Contemporary; PerCapita, The Patriotic Millionaires; and more. We’re looking for a Social Media Intern to help bring The Moonshot Company’s digital presence to life across Instagram and LinkedIn. You will be responsible for developing and posting dynamic social content that highlights our team, firm, culture and insights, and our client work. This role is perfect for someone creative, detail-oriented, and obsessed with internet culture, trends, and storytelling. 
Internship length:
Three months with the opportunity to continue longer term

  • Location: Remote (anywhere in the United States).

  • Compensation: $20/hour

  • Minimum time commitment: Five hours a week or twenty hours per month

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in managing The Moonshot Company’s CEO and corporate social media channels (Instagram and LinkedIn)

  • Create and schedule engaging content (graphics, captions, Reels/short-form videos, carousels) that reflect our brand’s voice and inflection points for the firm

  • Monitor trends, conversations, and industry news to identify real-time opportunities for engagement

  • Support with content calendar planning and brainstorming creative campaigns

  • Partner with firm leadership to develop best practices and insights that inform our digital strategy

  • Assist in tracking and analyzing performance metrics 

What We’re Looking For

  • Passion for storytelling, branding, and internet culture

  • Understanding of–and ability to–reflect our desired brand voice and tone (joyful, witty, hopeful, smart)

  • Strong understanding of social media trends, formats, and engagement tactics

  • Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe, or other tools) are required

  • Excellent writing and communication skills 

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a fast-moving team

  • Interest in entertainment, arts and culture, politics, consumer, business, and social impact
